Overview

Carry-On Trailer in Winnemucca, NV, has immediate openings for a Material Handler.

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our manufacturing company as a forklift material handler. Responsible for various tasks including safely transporting material in a manufacturing facility.

Compensation and Bonuses

Retention Bonus: Carry-On Trailer is offering a $1000 retention bonus for all full-time applicants that are newly hired. The bonus will be paid in three installments after completion of 30 days, 60 days, and 90 days.

Referral Bonus: If you refer a candidate who becomes a team member, you will receive $750 via direct deposit when the referral completes 30 days with the company.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for performing tasks involving the movement of materials.
  • Move finished trailers and material around the facility.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Follow orders and complete tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards.
  • Follow prescribed procedures and guidelines.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities.
  • Follow all company rules and policies.
  • Follow all safety rules and quality standards.
  • Uphold all OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Must have previous forklift experience.
  • Ability to read a tape measure is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify and compile information to effectively make decisions and set priorities.
Work Environment
  • Environment is not climate controlled. Limited control of heat and cooling; hot in summers and cold in winters.
  • Loud industrial environment.
Physical Demands
  • Walking, standing, kneeling, and bending required up to 90% of the workday.
  • Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50-70 pounds, up to 20% of the workday.
Work Hours
  • Full-time position. Work week is Monday through Friday, 10-hour shifts. Saturday overtime may be required based on production demand.
  • Must have reliable transportation and the ability to be at work on time.
