Senior Maintenance Planner (Mining / Industrial Operations)

5+ years in maintenance planning, preferably in mining or industrial operations

We are seeking a Senior Maintenance Planner to join a growing mining and industrial operations team. This role is critical for ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient maintenance execution at large-scale resource and processing facilities. You will lead maintenance planning activities, coordinate closely with operations and supervision teams, and mentor planners to optimize asset reliability and reduce downtime.

• Lead the development, review, and maintenance of detailed job plans, prioritizing safety, efficiency, and quality.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate all preventive, corrective, and minor construction maintenance activities.
• Provide guidance, mentoring, and functional oversight to maintenance and electrical planners.
• Monitor and manage planning workloads, backlog health, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to ensure work readiness, including materials, labor, equipment, and permits.
• Maintain and update Bills of Materials (BOMs), standard task lists, and asset strategies.
• Track and report key maintenance KPIs, schedule compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct field visits to scope work, validate plans, and support job execution readiness.

• 5+ years of progressive maintenance planning experience, including experience with parts, materials, and CMMS systems (SAP, Maximo, or similar).
• Experience providing functional leadership, mentoring, or supervising technical professionals.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, schematics, and predictive maintenance data.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint); experience with Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while promoting a strong safety culture.
• Mining or industrial operations experience preferred
