Travel RN - Labor & Delivery

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a Critical Access Hospital, requiring at least 2 years of L&D experience and a valid KS or compact RN license.

Job Details

• Critical Access Hospital Labor & Delivery unit,

• Patient population includes high-risk pregnancies, vaginal deliveries, C-sections, neonatal and newborn care, and surgical cases such as cervical cerclage,

• Required skills include external fetal monitoring (EFM), NST, sterile speculum and vaginal exams, reflex checks, IV placement, and medication administration,

• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-07:00),

• Every third weekend required,

• Centricity EMR experience preferred,

• Block scheduling considered on a case-by-case basis by the manager,

Job Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license required - no pending licenses accepted,

• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP,

• Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required,

• Previous charge nurse experience preferred,

• Prior travel nursing experience required - first-time travelers will not be considered,

• Two professional references required for consideration,

• Must provide a copy of driver's license and Social Security card for consideration,

Additional Information

• Role requires the ability to jump in and take over patient care at the start of the night shift with minimal transition time,

• Responsibilities include managing high-risk and vaginal deliveries, assisting with forceps/vacuum deliveries, C-sections, neonatal care, newborn care, pain management, postpartum care, and cervical cerclage cases,
