Job Details:

• Work 3x12-hour night shifts in a critical access hospital setting

• Every other weekend required

• Patient ratio of 1:6 across all shifts

• 13-week contract length

• 4-hour orientation provided

• Must have minimum 2 years of experience and previous travel experience

• Kansas nursing license or compact state license required at submission

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH, and PALS (CPI preferred)

• Care for adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients with daily census of 16 patients

• Provide gastrointestinal care including colostomy and feeding tube management

• Manage genitourinary/renal conditions including renal failure

• Perform IV therapy including port access, blood product administration, central line management, and PICC line care

• Administer medications including heparin, insulin, and cardiac drips (no titration)

• Care for neurological/psychiatric patients including CVA and substance withdrawal

• Manage respiratory equipment including CPAP/BiPAP, HFNC, ABGs, and oxygen administration

• Maintain isolation precautions and provide wound care including wound VAC management

• May float to different units as needed

• Work with interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
