Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts

• Every other weekend required

• 13-week contract length

• 1:6 patient ratio

• 4 hours of orientation provided

• Minimum 2 years of experience required

• Travel experience required - first time travelers not accepted

• Must be able to jump in after second shift at critical access hospital

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH, PALS (CPI preferred)

• Kansas license or compact license required at time of submission

• Care for adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics patient populations

• Skills required include: gastrointestinal care (colostomy and feeding tube management), genitourinary/renal care, IV therapy (port access, blood products, central lines, PICC lines), medication management (heparin, insulin, cardiac drips without titration), neurological/psychiatric care (CVA, substance withdrawal), respiratory care (CPAP/BiPAP, HFNC, ABGs, oxygen administration), isolation precautions, and wound care/wound vac

• May float to different units as needed

• Daily census of 16 patients with 18 total beds available

• One reference required for submission

This critical access hospital provides comprehensive medical and surgical care to the community with an 18-bed unit. The facility offers interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. The hospital maintains a collaborative environment focused on quality patient care across multiple age groups and specializes in treating various conditions including chest pain, pulmonary embolism, COPD, and general debility cases.
