Registered Nurse CDH Advanced Endoscopy Clinic – Part‑time Days

Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital is seeking a dedicated registered nurse to support our Advanced Endoscopy Clinic. The role is part‑time and scheduled on days.

Salary range: $34.50 – $55.20 per hour, depending on experience and internal equity. Union representatives are guided by the collective bargaining agreement.

This position reflects the mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Medicine. Qualified candidates will provide compassionate, evidence‑based care to acutely ill patients using the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. The RN must collaborate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and allied health staff while maintaining ANA standards of professional nursing practice.

• Collect and analyze patient data, identify expected outcomes, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate progress toward goals.
• Direct care and determine appropriate utilization of assistive personnel in patient care.
• Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and ancillary staff; document care decisions and communications in the health record.
• Participate in shared governance, committee work, and unit projects.
• Evaluate and document patient responses to interventions, individualizing the plan of care based on findings.
• Apply best available evidence and research to guide practice decisions.

Required

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
• Strong analytic abilities.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) acceptable with commitment to obtain a BSN within three years of employment.

Preferred

• Experience in a specific clinical area.
• Experience in Emergency Room and Pediatric Emergency Room settings.
• Trauma Nurse Specialist (TNS) certification.
• Emergency Communications Registered Nurse certification.
• Certified Pediatric Nurse or Certified Emergency Nurse designation.
