Position
Full‑time, 40 hours per week, night shift Lab Specimen Processor at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield.
SalaryHourly rate: $19.17 - $26.84. Placement within the salary range is dependent on relevant work experience and internal equity. For union‑represented positions, placement follows the collective bargaining agreement.
DescriptionThe Lab Specimen Processor supports the mission of Northwestern Medicine by receiving, processing, labeling, distributing specimens, and performing non‑high complexity testing as required. The role requires a thorough understanding of laboratory specimens and the HIS/LIS computer systems, and includes customer service and clerical duties as the job dictates.
Responsibilities- Receive, process, label, and distribute specimen samples efficiently and accurately.
- Perform non‑high complexity testing in accordance with laboratory procedures.
- Maintain knowledge of laboratory specimen handling and HIS/LIS computer systems.
- Provide customer service and complete clerical duties as required by the job.
- Maintain organization of work while multi‑tasking.
- Attention to detail is critical.
- Must be able to follow instructions.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- $10,000 Tuition Reimbursement per year ($5,700 part‑time)
