Position: Patient Pathway Coordinator - Ophthalmology (PCEU 30 hrs

Band 4 Patient Pathway Coordinator ( CAT Team 2 – Ophthalmology – PCEU Windsor )

This is a part‑time post for 30 hours per week.

This post is based at Prince Charles Eye Unit, King Edward VII Hospital, St Leonards Road, Windsor, SL4 3DP
– and attracts a Fringe payment of 5% of gross basic salary.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Clinical Administration Team (CAT 2 Ophthalmology) as a Patient Pathway Coordinator (PPC). As part of the management team we are keen to support ongoing development and opportunities to help you achieve your goals. Once fully trained we offer hybrid working as well; working on‑site and remotely at home.

The post is based at Prince Charles Eye Unit, Windsor, where we provide a first‑class, efficient, pro‑active and patient‑focused admin service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist admin support to the Ophthalmology teams.
  • Ensure smooth transition for patients as they move through their treatment pathway.
  • Work within a fast‑paced environment and communicate with patients and colleagues at all levels.
  • Carry out duties consistently and accurately, providing high quality and efficient service in a confident and courteous way.
  • Full compliance with local procedures, deadlines, and best practice.
  • Use multiple computer systems and manage data (electronic and paper‑based).
Key Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience delivering high levels of customer / patient service.
  • Experience with in an administrative environment; NHS experience desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent IT skills and comfortable communicating under pressure.
  • Knowledge of the 18‑week pathway would also be beneficial.

. Part‑time: 30 hours per week with hybrid working options.
