A forward-thinking Further Education college in Berkshire is seeking a committed and resilient Maths Lecturer to deliver GCSE Maths resit provision. This role is ideal for a teacher who understands the importance of confidence-building, consistency and high-impact teaching for learners retaking Maths.

The Role

You will teach GCSE Maths to post-16 learners who are resitting the qualification, delivering structured, engaging lessons that support progress and achievement. You’ll play a vital role in helping students overcome barriers and achieve a key life qualification.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality GCSE Maths teaching to resit learners

Plan and adapt lessons to meet a range of abilities and learning needs

Track, assess and report on learner progress effectively

Create a positive, supportive and focused classroom environment

Work collaboratively with the Maths team and wider college staff

The Ideal Candidate

Holds a degree or relevant qualification in Maths or a related subject

Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)

Experience teaching GCSE Maths, ideally within an FE setting

Strong classroom management and learner engagement skills

A patient, motivating and learner-focused approach
