CNC Milling Programmer-Operator; –5 Axis VMC

You load tools, dial in work offsets, verify your setup, and run a first-article part that hits spec the first time. Throughout the day, you fine-tune feeds and speeds, collaborate with engineering to streamline cycles, and keep the cell running safely and smoothly.

• Set up and operate vertical machining centers to produce tight-tolerance parts on 3–4 axis and 5+ axis VMCs.
• Program at the machine (and/or edit G-code) and select tooling, work holding, and offsets to meet part requirements.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan accurate machining strategies.
• Perform in-process and final inspections to verify parts meet customer specifications.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and complete routine preventive maintenance to keep equipment in top shape.
• Work closely with engineering and production to optimize processes and reduce setup time.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety procedures.

• High school diploma or equivalent; a machining-related technical credential is a plus.
• Hands-on CNC machining experience with a focus on milling operations.
• Fluency in reading technical drawings/blueprints and applying specifications.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for quality workmanship.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-moving environment.
• Strong problem-solving instincts and a proactive mindset.
