E. Morris Company—part of Morris Group, Inc., a third-generation, family-owned leader in machine tool distribution—we partner with precision manufacturers to unlock productivity. From New England to northern New Jersey and eastern New York (including the NYC metro area and Long Island), we provide CNC machines, automation, software, tooling, and accessories that keep our customers competitive.
Imagine this scenario
You’re on-site with a customer evaluating a complex part family. You map the process, choose the right platform, write a CAD/CAM-driven program for a horizontal mill, and set up the work holding. You present a turnkey plan with a realistic cost estimate and a crisp engineering report. Later, you run a tailored demo and coach their team on safe setup and operation for a multi-tasking machine.
That’s a typical win.
- Lead pre-sale technical reviews: visits, opportunity evaluation, machine assessment, and turnkey recommendations.
- Deliver accurate estimates, clear reports, and sound interpretation of drawings/specifications.
- Program and set up CNC lathes, vertical/horizontal mills, and Swiss-style lathes.
- Build custom demonstrations and train operators on machining centers, lathes, grinders, Swiss, and multi-tasking equipment—with safety front and center.
- Stay current on the technologies within our represented product lines.
- 2+ years of hands‑on CNC machining experience
- Experience with Okuma and FANUC controls; builder/distributor background a plus
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM
