Accounting Specialist

Location: Windsor, CT

Schedule: Fully Onsite

Compensation: $27–$32 per hour (based on experience)

Overview

We’re seeking a detail‑oriented Accounting Specialist to support the financial and administrative operations of our Windsor office. In this role, you’ll help maintain accurate financial records, streamline processes, and ensure smooth communication across departments within a well‑established network of manufacturing companies. Your contributions will directly impact our overall financial health and day‑to‑day efficiency.

Key Responsibilities Accounts Receivable & Invoicing
  • Create, distribute, and track customer invoices.
  • Resolve billing discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
Accounts Payable
  • Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
  • Reconcile AP statements and research variances as needed.
Financial Data & Documentation
  • Perform precise, timely data entry to support financial workflows.
  • Maintain organized physical and electronic files for quick retrieval.
  • Generate and manage purchase orders, packing slips, and bills of materials.
ERP & Inventory Support
  • Assist with product setup and record maintenance in the ERP system.
  • Collaborate with Finance to reconcile inventory and receiving accounts monthly.
Compliance & Audit Support
  • Assist with internal audits under Finance Department direction.
  • Uphold company policies, internal controls, and ethical standards.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 3+ years of AP/AR experience, including reconciliation and bookkeeping.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar ERP platforms.
  • Strong accuracy, attention to detail, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills for working with internal teams, vendors, and clients.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and data entry tools.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Windsor, CT.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $31.25/hr.
