Civil Engineer Intern

The Town of Windsor, CT seeks a Civil Engineer Intern to work part‑time,
approximately 8 hours per week during the school year, and full time during the summer months. The school year hours can be arranged around classes and school breaks. The summer hours are Monday thru Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

The successful candidate must enjoy working with the public and be enrolled in either an undergraduate or graduate program focused on a degree within the Civil Engineering or closely related field. The duties for this position include, but are not limited to, assisting Town Engineering staff with the design development of upcoming capital projects, assisting with the construction inspection of on‑going construction projects, aiding in the inspection and inventorying of town drainage system components, updating and maintaining the town’s map inventory, and aiding overall asset management of the town’s infrastructure.

Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Successful candidates will be subject to the Town of Windsor background screening process, which includes a criminal background check for candidates 18 years of age or older, a motor vehicle history check, and a pre‑employment drug screen (includes screening for marijuana).
