Tolmar, Inc. is a fully integrated pharmaceutical company based in Colorado. We develop, manufacture, and distribute both branded and generic prescription medications globally, focusing on oncology, urology, and pediatric endocrinology. About Tolmar Engineering
Tolmar Engineering ensures that pharmaceutical manufacturing facility processes are carried out in the safest, most time-efficient, and cost-effective way possible. Our engineers achieve this by designing, planning, coordinating, reviewing, and modifying facilities, systems, and equipment, and writing, documenting, and implementing new procedures, requirements, and qualification documents to support activities. The Central Engineering team is responsible for the Capital Project Delivery Process and manages an annual capital budget of approximately $15-25 Million.
The team manages process equipment, facility, and utility related projects for all of Tolmar's Northern Colorado footprint.
Proposed Work Description
Described below is a sampling of the kinds of work we expect this position to entail:
- Assist Tolmar Project Managers and Project/Equipment Engineers deliver active capital projects on schedule and within budget
- Pharmaceutical manufacturing facility and utility engineering design, coordination, and documentation
- Pharmaceutical process equipment design, coordination, and documentation
- Project documentation, commissioning, and qualification
- Start up, investigation, field work and research
- Assist Central Engineering team with development and implementation of engineering standards
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- An interest in the pharmaceutical industry and pharmaceutical engineering design, coordination and documentation;
- Ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice or acceptance criteria.
- Ability to interact collaboratively and effectively in a team environment.
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
- Technical writing and documentation review skills.
- Ability to work independently when needed.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks demonstrating strong organization and time management skills; to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient computer skills with demonstrated experience in working with Microsoft Suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook).
- Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) is a plus.

Education & Experience
- Pursuing a degree in Engineering discipline, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Interest in regulated industry including pharmaceutical, health care, medical device, production or manufacturing.
- Technical job history a plus.
Working Conditions
- Work is performed primarily in office, laboratory, manufacturing and construction sites.
- Comfortable working on ladders, lifts and at heights as needed.
