Job SummaryThe Underground Distribution Laborer prepares and cleans construction sites, loads and unloads building materials, operates equipment and machines, and assists craft workers with their duties. This position supports the Construction team and works closely with personnel within the department.
Pay Rate: $23.00 – $25.00 per hour.
There is no per diem or housing provided for this role; must be local.
Current and valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
Responsibilities- Clean and prepare the construction site for work, removing debris and potential hazards.
- Assist tradesmen in completing their skilled tasks more effectively.
- Identify utilities and watch dig crew activity to prevent utility hits.
- Clean up and maintain equipment.
- Restock trucks with supplies to ensure crews have the necessary tools and materials.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Current and valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- 1 year of experience.
This job operates in a field environment. Routine duties include extended periods of bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting (up to 50 pounds), standing, and twisting. Work may occur in inclement weather, such as extreme heat, extreme cold, rain, ice, snow, or wind. The role requires clear vision at 20 feet or greater or 20 inches or less, precise hand‑eye coordination, and the ability to identify and distinguish colors.
