Forklift Technician

Our Waste Management client located in Windsor Ontario is looking for Waste Technicians with Forklift experience to start ASAP! You must be comfortable handling and transporting waste, training will be provided for all successful applicants.
What we offer:

$25-an hour

12 hours shifts
- Straight days - 3days one week and 4 days the next week.

This is a temp to permanent position for the right person.

Paid weekly

What you will be doing:

Driving forklifts indoors and out doors transporting waste and materials to warehouse.

Support the Sustainability Services onsite program, including manual labor associated with chemical handling, lab pack duties, drum movements within the facility, drum bulking.

Ensure proper waste segregation, meet regulatory shipment windows, adhere to container labeling, maintain good housekeeping, and keep accurate tracking logs.

Collect, pour, transfer, consolidate, repackage, and package solid, liquid, and sludge material.

Perform labor-intensive activities such as container or drum collection, drum bulking, sorting trash for recyclables, and loading trucks.

Immediately report any unsafe conditions, incidents, injuries, or property damage to the supervisor.

Follow Environmental and Quality Management System (ISO 14001/9001) policies, procedures, and operational controls related to job responsibilities.

Working with lithium battery destruction and storage.

Who you are:

Forklift Truck Experience is a must

Must be willing to be clean shaven as a respirator will sometimes be worn

This position is a combination of indoor and outdoor work and so you must be comfortable in all conditions

Ability to lift 34-40kg

Worked in a manufacturing, construction or waste management environment

Have safety boots, glasses and hard hat

Ability to pass a Criminal background check
