We’re looking for an experienced Service Manager to lead our Roofing Service Division. In this pivotal role, you’ll oversee day-to-day service operations, ensuring safe, high-quality, and timely delivery of roofing repairs, maintenance, and emergency services. You’ll lead a dynamic team of coordinators, forepersons, and field technicians while maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal partners. The ideal candidate combines technical roofing knowledge with operational leadership and business acumen to drive performance, profitability, and client satisfaction.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Lead, coach, and manage the Service Division team, including field crews, forepersons, and administrative support
- Oversee scheduling, dispatch, and execution of service calls and maintenance contracts
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the company's quality standards
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring responsiveness and satisfaction
- Review and approve service reports, quotes, timesheets, and job costing data
- Collaborate with estimators, coordinators, and accounting to ensure timely service delivery and billing
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), financials, and operational metrics to meet division goals
- Implement and enforce safety standards and compliance requirements
- Conduct site visits, toolbox talks, and performance reviews for service crews
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of service team members
- Drive cost control, efficiency, and customer service initiatives
- 5+ years of leadership experience in service operations, preferably in roofing or construction
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple service projects simultaneously
- Strong understanding of roofing systems, maintenance, and repair processes
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost management
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM, and dispatch/tracking systems
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to conduct site visits as required
