POSITION SUMMARY  The Data Warehouse Analyst supports warehouse operations and contributes to the development of the Neighbourhood Opportunity Index (NOI). This role focuses on designing and maintaining ETL processes to integrate diverse datasets and prepare them for analysis, loading program and community data from partners into the warehouse, and supporting mapping and visualization tasks.

Experience with QGIS and spatial data formats is considered an asset.
KEY FUNCTIONS   40%  – Writing and optimizing SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and reporting.
30%  – Designing and maintaining ETL workflows to integrate warehouse, program, and geospatial datasets.
20%  – Loading partner data into the warehouse and preparing exports for program reporting.
10%  – Supporting mapping and visualization tasks for NOI and operational dashboards.

Duties –
Load program and community data from external partners into the data warehouse and ensure proper formatting for reporting
Develop and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources (warehouse systems, demographic datasets, geographic layers)
Prepare and structure data for the Neighbourhood Opportunity Index (NOI), ensuring proper integration of socio-economic indicators and spatial boundaries
Support mapping and visualization tasks using tools such as QGIS (asset) or equivalent for layering geographic datasets
Write and optimize SQL queries stored procedures for data analysis and reporting
Create dashboards and reports using Power BI or similar tools to visualize warehouse KPIs and NOI metrics
Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs, spatial boundaries, and reporting requirements.
Ensure data quality and integrity across all systems and geospatial layers.
Document workflows and provide training to enhance data literacy.
Technical Skills – In addition to the competencies outlined above, you are proficient in the use of the following tools and technologies:
SQL and MS SQL Server – strong working knowledge of database querying, management, and data analysis.
ETL tools and data integration techniques – experience extracting, transforming, and loading data from multiple sources.
Microsoft Excel and Power BI – skilled in using advanced Excel functions and creating data visualizations and dashboards in Power BI.
Familiarity with QGIS – working knowledge of spatial data tools and formats such as Shape files and GeoJSON is considered an asset.
Understanding of demographic and socio-economic datasets – including census and population-level data used in community-based analysis and reporting.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE   Post‑secondary degree or diploma in Data Analytics, Computer Science, GIS, or related field
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in data analysis or ETL development (warehouse and/or geospatial experience preferred)
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
