The Registered Dietitian oversees resident nutrition/hydration care, assessing and documenting status regularly. They will develop care plans for new residents and continuously evaluate and modify all care plans. The RD provides counselling and education, monitors high-risk residents, develops interventions, reviews and approves seasonal menus (including therapeutic and texture-modified diets), and participates in care conferences with interdisciplinary teams. Additionally, they can coordinate quality improvement in nutrition, food services, and dining, and provide in-service education to staff.
Requirements- Registered Dietitian, eligible for membership with the College of Dietitians of Ontario
- Experience in long-term care setting is an asset
- Experience with RAI MDS 2.0 and familiarity with the software Point Click Care is an asset
- Liability insurance (required)
- Have at least 2 COVID vaccine doses
- TB test & Vulnerable Sector Check valid within 6 months
