Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 7 years of financial lending, capital market, treasury, accounting and/or finance experience
  • Proficient knowledge of lending credit principles and mortgage industry regulatory environment
  • Experience with capital markets solutions and strategic planning
  • Demonstrated proficiency building teams and leading others
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA, CPA certification or CFA certification
  • 7 years of mortgage finance experience from a financial services company or bank
  • Knowledge of and experience within the NHA MBS marketplace, residential mortgage capital markets, and investor reporting requirements
  • Strong working relationship and network with mortgage Aggregators
  • Ability to analyze reporting and measure outcomes to drive decisions
Job Summary

As a Team Leader of Capital Markets, you'll lead our company through various strategic initiatives and the execution of work touching lending, finance, treasury and capital markets programs. In this role, you'll work with the business and various business partners to ensure funding and capital solutions are met, while working to develop and lead your team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide coaching, mentoring and direction to all direct reports while driving business results
  • Work with senior leadership to implement the strategic plan for their team
  • Identify and support the implementation of initiatives
  • Review, assess and prioritize business investments
  • Assess lending risks by preparing periodic lending risk assessments for applicable business areas
  • Lead communication and relationship building with key mortgage Aggregating partners for funding and capital needs
  • Ensure reporting requirements of mortgage Aggregators are being met while driving business efficiencies
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for lending finance and capital market initiatives to maximize capital efficiency, lower cost of capital and ensure funding services are being met
  • Work to ensure cohesion and development of teams within various business areas such as finance, capital markets and accounting
  • Lead special projects as assigned, such as preparing treasury and capital markets analysis, credit risk, or reviewing collateral reports for the company
  • Monitor and stay current with market/industry developing trends and changes
  • Recommend improvements to policies, standards, guidelines and processes that streamline delivery of work without compromising quality
