Job Description:
Vehicle Dynamics engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Driving Simulator supporting product development teams in subjective evaluations of Vehicle Dynamic models.The engineer will help in the development and optimization of Suspension, Steering system kinematics and compliance requirements via the usage of the Driving Simulator, at times maybe be required to provide subjective and objective assessment of the Vehicle Dynamic models.Responsibilities will also include development of SOP's, tools, and methodologies for enhancing the usage of the Driving Simulator.Requirements:Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Automotive or Aerospace Engineering from an ABET accredited or equivalent program.years of experience in vehicle dynamics simulation, preference to using ADAMS/Car and or Car Sim. Any experience in SAE or Capstone projects related to Vehicle Dynamics will be taken in account as experience.Experience in computer programming and other automated data analysis tools (Matlab, Simulink, Python, etc.)Must have competency with test and simulation techniques associated with Suspension, Steering system kinematics and compliance as well as full vehicle ride and handling.Comprehensive understanding of vehicle dynamics theory and applicationExcellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to coordinate activities with other functional group.Preferred Requirements:Master of Science degree in Mechanical, Automotive or Aerospace Engineering from an ABET accredited or equivalent program.Experience in the Driving Simulator environment,Experience with VI Car Realtime, VI Drive Sim and Sim WorkbenchStrong Data analytical skills and the ability to interpret data for senior management reviewsTechnical aptitude for creation or analysis of objective test methods, metrics, and analysis techniques.Excellent problem-solving skillsSelf-motivated, with good project planning skillsProficient use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)Additional Information / Must Have's:Vehicle dynamics theory and applicationTunning Suspension ComponentsComputer Simulation for Vehicle Dynamicsyears ExperienceOnsite - %Travel: % to the USDriving Client Vehicle requiredWe offer attractive, competitive compensation and benefits including, medical, dental, k, short-term disability, AD&D, tuition reimbursement, and more.
