Purpose of Role:

We are looking for an Operations Coordinator to provide PA support to senior managers within Parks, Gardens, and Forestry & Arboriculture. This role also coordinates activities across three operational areas and their wider teams, ensuring smooth delivery of day-to-day tasks, meetings, financial tracking, and key processes.

Context of Opportunity / Main Accountabilities:
  • Organise and maintain diary commitments for senior managers, ensuring priorities are met.
  • Handle correspondence (emails, calls, letters) professionally and confidentially.
  • Prepare draft responses and monitor progress of matters to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate projects and organise internal/external meetings and events.
  • Raise customer invoices and purchase orders, maintaining accurate records.
  • Support operational teams with equipment and record keeping.
  • Assist with reception duties and maintain filing systems, including archiving.
Most Important Skills-Based Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a PA or Team Coordinator role within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Typing speed of 50 wpm.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information confidentially.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
