In this role, you’ll help repair a variety of construction equipment including diesel trucks, trailers, excavators, dozers, and more. You’ll learn the inner workings of each piece of equipment, become an expert at what you do, and expand your skillset by working on different equipment each day. By doing so, you’ll play an integral part as we stand together to reinvent the way our world is built.

Windsor, CA

Full-time, Monday–Friday. 8–12 hours per day. Weekends and overtime may be needed due to business demands.

$26.98 - $35.77/hr, DOE

What You Can Do (Minimum and Preferred Qualifications)

• At least 2–4 years’ diesel mechanic experience. Completion of a diesel technology program may substitute up to 2 years of experience.
• Experience with diagnosis and troubleshooting on electrical, hydraulic, and air systems.
• Have a valid driver’s license.
• Safety-minded professional who demonstrates good performance, attendance, and punctuality.
• Must pass pre-employment physical exam and pre-employment controlled substance testing.

• You’ve enjoyed being a mechanic for a few years now, or recently graduated from a diesel mechanic program, and you possess a strong desire to continue to learn and grow with an industry leader.

• Troubleshoots problems, making economical and durable repairs to heavy equipment, trucks, shop, and non-mobile equipment.
• Dismantles equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists and hand tools.
• Services vehicles/equipment to include oil changes, greasing, adding fluids, changing filters, and maintaining preventative maintenance schedules.
• Troubleshoots and repairs electrical and hydraulic systems, diesel and gasoline engines, transmissions, drive trains, etc.
• Operates computer for job functions.
• Starts equipment to test their performance.
• Will perform basic welding procedures.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area.
• Take action to avoid potential hazards or obstructions.
• Other tasks and duties as assigned to meet business needs.
• Regular and timely attendance.
