Maintenance, Facilities, & Utilities Manager (Maintenance)

We are seeking an experienced, hands‑on Maintenance, Facilities & Utilities Manager to lead maintenance and facilities operations across our production breweries and two brewpub locations in Sonoma County (Santa Rosa & Windsor). This is a working manager role responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, plant utilities performance, facility integrity, regulatory compliance, and team development across both production and hospitality environments. The right candidate will be equally comfortable troubleshooting mechanical and utility systems on the production floor as they are building structured maintenance programs.

This includes overseeing building systems and infrastructure, coordinating facility improvements, and leading a skilled team that provides critical production and restaurant support. The role is primarily based in Windsor, with support to our Santa Rosa location as needed.

This position partners closely with brewing, packaging, warehouse, laboratory, and hospitality leadership to support safe, uninterrupted operations across production, back‑of‑house, and front‑of‑house environments.

What You Will Do
  • Lead and develop the maintenance and facilities team across multiple locations
  • Ensure reliable operation of utilities including steam, refrigeration, glycol, compressed air, water, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Support production equipment, kitchen systems, bar infrastructure, and guest‑facing facility needs
  • Oversee preventative and corrective maintenance programs to minimize downtime
  • Manage work order systems and maintenance planning
  • Monitor equipment performance trends and implement long‑term reliability solutions
  • Oversee wastewater processes, environmental compliance, and hazardous waste practices
  • Coordinate facilities improvements, infrastructure upgrades, and vendor‑supported projects
  • Manage vendor relationships, service contracts, and departmental purchasing
  • Participate in production and operations meetings to align maintenance strategy with operational needs
  • Champion and maintain our strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with OSHA standards, conducting regular facility inspections, participating in safety meetings and proactively addressing hazards to maintain a safe environment for employees and guests
What We Are Looking For
  • 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment; hospitality or multi‑site facility experience is a plus
  • 3+ years in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting capability
  • Experience with CMMS systems and structured preventative maintenance programs
  • Knowledge of GMP standards and industrial safety practices including LOTO and confined space procedures
  • Ability to lead teams, manage shifting priorities, and communicate effectively across departments
  • High level of accountability, organization, and systems thinking
  • Brewery or beverage production experience is strongly preferred
Work Environment

This role operates in both industrial production and active hospitality environments and requires regular standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 60 pounds. Work may involve exposure to industrial noise, temperature fluctuations, steam, kitchen environments, wet floors, and pressurized systems. Occasional evenings or weekends may be required to support operational needs.

Benefits
  • Employee discount
  • Health insurance (Medical, Dental, Vision)
  • 401(k) matching
  • Employee assistance program
  • Life insurance
  • Several voluntary plans and brewery perks!
