Job Overview
Position:
Part‑time, second shift (3 pm–11 pm, every other weekend and holidays). Compensation: $19.00 per hour. No benefits included.
- Greets each passenger and provides information such as fare costs and estimated travel time at the curbside at the airport.
- Dispatches taxicabs in response to telephone or walk‑up requests, providing directions and answering general questions.
- Maintains operation maps, contacts drivers in the assigned sector by radio or telephone, logs calls and relay information to drivers.
- Facilitates transactions among all parties, overseeing credit card, cash, voucher and coupon payments and ensuring proper payment method is assigned.
- Loads and unloads luggage and other baggage.
- Provides wheelchair assistance.
- Ensures compliance with all airport rules and Transdev’s standard operating procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Two years of customer service or basic office experience preferred.
- Proven interpersonal skills dealing with the public required.
- Pleasant telephone voice/manner.
- Strong verbal communication and listening skills are required.
- Can interact professionally and friendly with internal customers on all levels and work well with diverse groups.
- Can deal patiently and courteously with external customer problems and complaints.
- Can work various shifts or flexible schedules.
- Can handle multiple tasks and work well under pressure.
- 90 % of work is indoors in air‑conditioned or well‑ventilated facilities.
- 10 % is outdoors in varying temperature, weather and humidity; most work is performed alone and in remote locations.
- Frequent standing and walking; must stand up to three hours and walk long distances over uneven or slippery surfaces.
- Normal manual dexterity, eye‑hand coordination and ability to lift or handle baggage up to 50 lb without assistance; ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crawl and crouch.
- Exposure to heavy traffic areas and noise, dust and vehicle fumes.
