Job SummaryThe Air Logistics Ramp Supervisor directly supervises a busy team of Airport Logistics ramp associates who move packages by hand and pushcart within an indoor/outdoor facility located on airport property. This is a roll-up-your-sleeves role that supports a team ensuring packages arrive on time to destinations across the United States. This is a cross-dock operation focused on daily throughput from aircraft to warehouse to trucks with little to no storage.
The indoor facility is an open-air environment and not temperature controlled; you may work in or around aircraft.

Responsibilities- Monitors the quantity and quality of work performance of assigned Air logistics personnel.
- Directs personnel within the assigned functional area.
- Participates in discipline, coaching, counseling, hiring and termination of subordinates; trains subordinates.
- Proactively monitors the work of assigned ramp employees to ensure customer satisfaction, safety, security, quality and employee relations meet or exceed standards.
- Maintains and controls all required aspects of the operation in accordance with the corporate security program and TSA requirements.
- Ensures compliance with Company rules and regulations and contractual agreements.
- Reads, understands and implements the site-specific security plan and ensures all WFS staff are issued a relevant company display their identity badge.
- Administers practices in a fair and equitable manner, treating all employees, customers, vendors and other third parties with respect.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
- 1 year of related experience and/or training.
- Valid driver's license.
- Previous logistics, manufacturing, warehousing experience with a structured process and strict deadlines.
- Familiarity with personal computer software is helpful.
- Independent judgment and decision-making skills are required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand English.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in non-temperature controlled environments, indoors and outdoors in a variety of temperatures (hot and cold, rain, wind, etc.).
- Ability to stand for an entire shift and move long distances across facilities.
