- Drive the implementation and sustainment of the Zero Defect Plan across internal manufacturing and supply chain to eliminate nonconformances and enhance product reliability
- Identify and eliminate root causes of defects using data-driven methods (5 whys, 3-Legged, Fishbone)
- Map, analyze, and improve production processes to be robust enough to prevent mistakes
- Design and implement error-proofing techniques (poka-yoke) and proactive tactics to mitigate risks
- Collaborate with teams across manufacturing, engineering, and quality to ensure adherence to quality standards over production targets
- Monitor, analyze, and report on quality metrics to the customer
- Ability to perform deep-dive data analysis on scrap, rework, and customer complaints
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive ZDP schedule, identifying high-risk targets and functional areas for improvement
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Management, or related field
- 2-4 years of experience in aerospace or automotive
- Experience in quality tools:
Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (PFMEA), PPAP, and SPC - Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Root Cause Analysis techniques
- Excellent communication skills
- SAP experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
$55,000-$65,000. Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job‑related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.
Work Requirements- We offer flexible work options, including hybrid arrangements, to support the need of the role and align with company policies. This position is located in Windsor Locks, CT and is considered hybrid with 3 days required on-site.
- You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
- Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Due to the nature of the work, no travel is required.
