This position is for a motivated Electrical or Computer engineering candidate to be involved in the design, implementation, verification, and integration of a wide variety of high‑performance digital ASICs and FPGAs applied to signal processing and information assurance products across Mission Systems on the Product Enabling Technologies team. In addition, this position is for an Electrical Design Engineer with emphasis on lab testing and system‑level design incorporating analog and digital functions.

This role is onsite, in Windsor Locks, CT. This role may be eligible for relocation.

What You Will Do:
  • Support requirements capture and ASIC/FPGA digital architecture.
  • Support verification and system integration of ASIC/FPGA implementations.
  • Perform engineering work and applied research, development, and Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design for new products to ensure quality standards and functional objectives are met.
  • Creating engineering and production test procedures.

  • You will learn how ASICs and FPGAs are used to implement solutions utilized in communications, security, and space‑based products.
  • You will learn designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
  • You will learn schematic capture, signal integrity, support circuit card layout.
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Experience using ASIC, FPGA and schematic design tools (e.g. Modelsim, Questa, Mentor Graphics/HDL designer, Libero, Quartus, Vivado or other FPGA‑specific tools, Xpedition).
  • Experience with debugging and root cause investigations on hardware using hardware schematics, integrated FPGA vendor debug tools, and digital lab equipment.
  • Digital circuit architecture and resource tradeoffs.
  • Familiarity with the signal processing system simulation & analysis tools (e.g. Matlab, Simulink, with revision control concepts and tools (e.g. Git, Subversion) and with electronics design and related processes.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a cross‑functional team environment.
  • RTL coding and simulation in VHDL.
  • Circuits design (power, FPGA, EMI filters).
