What You Will Do:
  • Requirements capture, ASIC / FPGA digital architecture and design using RTL, verification, and system integration.
  • Be involved in design, implementation, verification, and integration of a wide variety of high-performance digital ASICs and FPGAs.
  • This position will have an emphasis on PCB and system-level design incorporating analog and digital functions.
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
  • RTL coding and simulation in VHDL, Verilog, or System Verilog.
  • Performs engineering work and applied research, development, and Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design for new products to ensure quality standards and functional objectives are met.
  • Experience in designing digital and analog products including FPGA systems, low-power supplies, motor controls.
  • Experience creating engineering and production test procedures.
  • Experience with debugging and root cause investigations on hardware using hardware schematics, integrated FPGA vendor debug tools, and digital lab equipment.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Experience using ASIC and/or FPGA design tools (e.g. Modelsim, Questa, Mentor Graphics/HDL designer, Libero, Quartus, Vivado or other FPGA-specific tools, Xpedition).
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, team with engineers of a variety of skills and backgrounds, and matrix into projects with aggressive schedules and frequent milestones.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to document and present one's work and status.
  • Digital circuit architecture and resource tradeoffs.
  • Experience with PCB design tools.
  • Experience with supporting factory builds of PCBs and assemblies.
  • Experience in requirements generation, validation, allocation and traceability.
  • Familiarity with the signal processing system simulation & analysis tools (e.g. Matlab, Simulink).
  • Familiarity with revision control concepts and tools (e.g. Git, Subversion).
