Job SummaryWe are seeking a Mechanical Systems Engineer II to join our team in Windsor Locks, CT. In this role, you will design and develop functional system architecture for engine control systems, work closely with an integrated product team, define and manage system components using physics-based models, develop detailed functional schematics, layouts, and component details, conduct design verification and certification tests, and post-process test results.
WhatYou Will Do
- Collaborate in a team environment to design functional system architecture, defining major components and subsystems using physics-based models.
- Develop detailed functional schematics, concept layouts, sketches, and preliminary component details.
- Develop, manage, and communicate system requirements to the integrated product team.
- Investigate design factors and conduct trade studies to identify optimal solutions to meet both internal and external customer requirements.
- Support testing for systems, subsystems, and components.
- Support design verification and certification tests, post-process and analyze test results in relation to design specifications and objectives.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience; or an advanced degree; or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience.
- A bachelor's degree in mechanical, systems, or aerospace engineering is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Coding experience (VBA, Python, or similar).

CompensationSalary range: $68,900 – $131,100.
