Food Service Worker

Location: 289 Windham Rd, Willimantic (10534)

Shift: 3pm-7pm, rotating weekends

• Prepare cold food for patients, including nourishments and tube feeding products, cafeteria food, and catering/special functions.
• Work on the patient food service tray line, ensuring food is accurate and high‑quality.
• Operate ware washing machinery and/or the three‑compartment sink for cleaning pots and pans.
• Prioritize stocking and supplies, rotating stock according to First‑In, First‑Out.
• Pass trays, nourishments, and floor stock to patients or assigned unit/area.
• Assist in compiling patient late trays and deliver trays as necessary.
• Round on patients during meal times and pick up dirty trays.
• Responsible for cleaning up after special functions.
• Ensure cafeteria is ready інт meal service, stocking, setting up the hot food line, and serving meals to customers.
• Accurately handle cash and operate the cash register.
• Maintain cleanliness in kitchen and cafeteria areas, remove garbage, and follow proper sanitation procedures.

• Experience:
  
  Entry‑level position with 2‑week training period.
• Education:
  
  High School Diploma or GED required;
  Serv Safe certification preferred.
• Qualifications:
  
  Must read, write, and communicate routine information in English; must work reliably from written and oral instructions.
