Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant – Wound Care

Location: Windham Community Memorial (10183)

Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm

Organization: Hartford Health Care – The Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine. The mission is to provide the Southern New England region with access to expertise in advanced wound care and hyperbaric medicine therapies.

• Comprehensive diagnosis and wound assessment of patients
• Ordering appropriate lab tests, imaging studies, radiographic and other cardiac imaging studies; interpret lab and imaging results; maintain currency in advanced cardiac life support
• Management of Hyperbaric oxygen therapy treatments
• Coordinate care of assigned patients including nursing care, nutrition, medications, dressings and adjunctive wound therapies
• Review patient charts, write progress notes, tabulate data, and complete other required medical record documentation

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Master’s program. Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Connecticut
• Certification or eligible to be certified as a Physician Assistant, or National Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner through a national board certification
• Wound care certification or experience preferred; training in Hyperbaric Therapy will be provided
