Roots to Recovery (R2R) is an intermediate, 24/7 residential treatment for men in need of a structured environment to build upon their recovery skills. It is a 90‑day maximum intermediate (3.5) residential substance‑abuse treatment program with 14 beds. Clients are referred from intensive treatment programs, emergency department staff, and/or detox programs. Clients with co‑occurring disorders and on methadone maintenance are accepted.
Responsibilities- Maintain physical environment and program standards in accordance with CHR, DMHAS, JCAHO, and other licensing standards.
- Monitor medications of all residents in accordance with the adult residential medication policy and procedure.
- Use appropriate communication methods/tools to transfer information to other staff regarding the day’s events.
- Teach and assist residents in areas of rehabilitation including nutrition and healthy living, meal preparation, hygiene, laundry, banking and budgeting, and basic home‑care skills.
- Assist/manages administrative functions and tasks at the direction of the supervisor.
- Prepare and facilitate educational and skill‑building groups and one‑to‑one interventions as directed by the treatment plan.
- Collaborate and coordinate care with providers and families as needed.
- Assist residents in addressing medical and psychiatric needs.
- Maintain documentation in compliance with agency and program standards.
- Participate in staff meetings, supervision, trainings, and other meetings as assigned.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Education: High school diploma or GED required.
Experience: Two years’ experience working with a relevant population preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Valid driver’s license required with a good driving record.
Compensation$18.38 /hr minimum, commensurate with experience. Actual rates are determined at the time of offer and may include program/location differentials and/or sign‑on incentives.
