Our client, a growth-oriented manufacturing organization, is seeking a hands‑on, process‑driven hands‑on Controller to support expanding operations at its Connecticut‑based facility. This role is a key member of the senior leadership team and serves as a strategic business partner to commercial and operational leaders. The Controller will have dual reporting responsibilities to the site executive leader and the corporate finance function similue.

In addition to ensuring the integrity of financial reporting and regulatory compliance, this position plays a critical role in driving profitability through cost management, pricing support, and data‑driven decision‑making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the preparation and accuracy of financial statements, including balance sheet, incomesortable, and cash flow reporting.
  • Partner with production and operations teams to monitor manufacturing costs, inventory valuation, and overall efficiency.
  • Analyze financial and operational data to identify cost‑reduction opportunities and process improvements, present insights to senior leadership.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate processing, reconciliations, and timely cash collections and disbursements.
  • Track and report on key financial and operational performance indicators (KPIs), providing recommendations to enhance profitability.
  • Collaborate with operations απαίτη of: inventory people, persons to understand mechanical utilization, material spend, and manufacturing variances.
  • Review and evaluate capital expenditure proposals, including ROI analysis and project cost.parameters.
  • Support pricing strategy through cost modeling, margin analysis, and financial input into customer quotations and contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
  • 5–15 years of progressive financial leadership experience, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong background in cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications; ERP system experience required.
  • Proven ability to partner cross‑functionally to support informed decision‑making and profitable growth.
  • Highly organized with strong analytical capabilities and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strategic, continuous‑improvement mindset with experience building scalable, efficient financial processes.
