Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time position is available for an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher specializing in PreK within a school setting located in Willimantic, CT. This contract role requires onsite presence and offers the opportunity to work closely with young learners needing specialized educational support.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver individualized and group instruction tailored to students with special educational needs in early childhood (PreK).
- Develop and implement specialized educational plans in compliance with state guidelines.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists and other educators, to support the developmental goals of each child.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with families and school staff.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable state certification standards and educational regulations.
- Valid state certification in special education with one of the following endorsements: 001, 002, 008, 112, or 113.
- Experience working with early childhood learners, particularly those requiring specialized education services.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Position is based in Willimantic, CT, with work conducted onsite.
