Sit Down Forklift: 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am 2-2-3 rotating shift

Role

Summary:

Responsible for pulling orders, prepping for outbound shipment, loading and unloading freight accurately, inspection and other warehouse related duties. Ensure all products are accurately pulled and over-packed correctly to customer expectations.

Principal Responsibilities:

(The following is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. It is not an exhaustive list of all expectations.):

• Safely operate forklift and other material handling equipment (MHE) sit down

• Load inbound and outbound freight to and from vehicles and containers

• Accurately pull orders based on location, part number, batch and quantity

• Placard, weigh, and record dimensions on appropriate paperwork

• Sort outbound freight based on carrier lane assignments

• Over-box pallets, wrap pallets and strap pallets in preparation for shipment

• Perform cleanup activities in the work area to ensure safety and cleanliness of dock

• Keeping shipping supplies organized and communication on supply needs

• Daily forklift inspection sheet completed prior to operation of forklift

• Complete other duties or tasks as assigned

Competencies:

This is an intermediate level position. Good interpersonal skills required. High school diploma or equivalent required. Generally prefer 1-4 years of experience. Must be familiar with OSHA regulations, able to operate a variety of equipment such as a forklift and a computer, and have strong organizational, inventory and accounting skills. Physical requirements include, but are not limited to pushing, pulling, lifting varying weights up to 50+lbs.
