Sit Down Forklift:
Day shift - 6am-6pm, 2-2-3 rotating shift

Role Summary

Responsible for pulling orders, prepping for outbound shipment, loading and unloading freight accurately, inspection and other warehouse related duties. Ensure all products are accurately pulled and over-packed correctly to customer expectations.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Safely operate forklift and other material handling equipment (MHE) sit down
  • Load inbound and outbound freight to and from vehicles and containers
  • Accurately pull orders based on location, part number, batch and quantity
  • Placard, weigh, and record dimensions on appropriate paperwork
  • Sort outbound freight based on carrier lane assignments
  • Over-box pallets, wrap pallets and strap pallets in preparation for shipment
  • Perform cleanup activities in the work area to ensure safety and cleanliness of dock
  • Keeping shipping supplies organized and communication on supply needs
  • Daily forklift inspection sheet completed prior to operation of forklift
  • Complete other duties or tasks as assigned

Skills and Competencies

(The following minimum requirements are normal guidelines and should not constrain the advancement of otherwise qualified personnel):

This is an intermediate level position. Good interpersonal skills required. High school diploma or equivalent required.

Generally prefer 1-4 years of experience. Must be familiar with OSHA regulations, able to operate a variety of equipment such as a forklift and a computer, and have strong organizational, inventory and accounting skills.

Physical requirements include, but are not limited to pushing, pulling, lifting varying weights up to 50+lbs.
