Job Description
The Food Service Retail Manager is responsible for all of the daily operations of the cafeteria and catering services. The Manager directs staff to ensure customer satisfaction and that employees follow organizational policies and procedures.

- Hires, trains, oversees and delivers corrective actions and terminations when needed.
- Collaborates with Chef to order food, beverage, equipment, and other supplies.
- Plans retail menu cycles and prices all items.
- Oversees retail food preparation, portion sizes, and overall presentation of food.
- Regularly inspects supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure adequacy.
- Ensures employees comply with health and food safety standards.
- Accountable for all daily tasks and performance of employees and supervisors.
- Conducts yearly performance evaluations for all employees.
- Addresses complaints regarding food quality or service.
- Approves schedules and works with scheduling team to ensure coverage of all shifts.
- Works within food and labor budget guidelines as dictated by the Director.
- Establishes and maintains standards for personnel performance and customer service.
- Maintains daily production records for all stations.
- Produces all necessary month‑end reports.
- Directs cleaning of all stations and ensures Master Cleaning List is completed.
- Ensures cash handling policies are followed according to organization’s procedures.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience- Years of experience in hospitality/food services;
Food Service Manager or Supervisor position required.
SERV SAFE certification required within 6 months of employment.
Qualifications- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to mentor and lead staff.
