Pet Plaza Clinic is seeking a full-time Veterinary Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated veterinary team.

• Position:
  Veterinary Assistant (Full-Time)
• Schedule:
  
  4-day work week with day, evening, and rotating Saturday shifts (one every 3–4 weeks)
• Wage: $15 - $18 per hour depending on experience
• Software:
  Avimark – experience preferred but not required
• Clinic
  
  Hours:
  • Monday: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM (expanding to 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM in January)
  • Tuesday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Sunday:
    Closed

• Veterinary Assistant experience preferred
• Strong communication and technical skills
• Compassion for animals and people alike
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to learn and grow within the role

• Experience with Avimark software
• Fear-Free Certification (or interest in pursuing)

  Assist the medical team with hands-on care and ensure every animal is treated with compassion and respect.

  Assist with scheduling, payments, and communications with courtesy and clarity.
• Ensure a Safe and Clean Environment:
  Maintain the hospital and equipment to uphold high standards of care.

• A High School Diploma or equivalent
• Calm and efficient approach in a fast-paced environment
• Confidence and skill in handling pets of all sizes and temperaments
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency in fundamental veterinary skills (laboratory, pharmacy, nursing, radiology) is a strong asset
