Job: Oncology Nurse Practitioner
Hours: This position offers a flexible schedule of three days per week, with shifts running Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The specific three working days will be determined in coordination with the physician. In addition to regular shifts, the role includes call responsibilities every eighth week and rotating holiday coverage.
Pay Range: $ - $ yearly. The actual hiring rate may vary based on several factors, including your previous work experience, educational background, the responsibilities of the position, and demonstrated performance. Job Summary: Shenandoah Oncology seeks an Oncology Nurse Practitioner who embodies our RETIC core values:

. Working with physicians, you will provide care to patients and families facing cancer, both in clinic and via telemedicine. Responsibilities include prevention, screening, treatment, and patient education, while ensuring compliance with OSHA and regulatory standards. - Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients.
- Initiate and document appropriate interventions; evaluate and record patient/family response and prescribe therapies as indicated.
- Perform procedures after appropriate training.
- Assess patient/family needs and provide education.
- Promote wellness and recommend community resources to meet patient and family needs.
- Incorporate the developing knowledge of evidence-based research into clinical practice.
- Develop knowledge of reimbursement procedures and documentation requirements.
- Complete patient charge capture and medical record documentation in a timely fashion.
- May provide case management for patients and their families, given limited knowledge of community resources.
- May promote/provide staff education.
- Responsibilities may include rounding at affiliated hospitals and weekend or after-hour calls.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing school and successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program.
- This position is entry-level and typically requires a minimum of 0-3 years post MSN experience, preferably in the chosen specialty.
- RN state licensure and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
- Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.
