Position Overview

Provide administration, support, and operational excellence for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems within a secure, mission‑critical environment. Assist in integrating and managing hybrid infrastructure leveraging AWS cloud services.

• Install, configure, patch, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems in both virtualized and physical environments.
• Manage AWS components such as EC2, ELB, Auto Scaling, and other relevant services.
• Automate system tasks using Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages.
• Implement security hardening, including system configuration baselines, vulnerability scanning, and mitigation — in compliance with federal mandates (STIGs, NIST).
• Proactively monitor performance and availability; troubleshoot and resolve system, network, and AWS integration issues.
• Manage user accounts, access controls, and authentication services.
• Maintain detailed documentation in tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Participate in on‑call rotations to ensure high availability and rapid incident response.

• 5+ years of RHEL/Linux system administration experience in enterprise or secure settings.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services (EC2, ELB, Auto Scaling, etc.).
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation tasks.
• Experience applying system hardening and security best practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot system and network issues across Linux and cloud environments.
• Top Secret clearance (SCI eligibility and willingness to obtain CI poly).
