Job Description

A large regional referral hospital and Level II Trauma Center in the Winchester, Virginia area is hiring a CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) for a permanent, full-time role. This role requires the nurse advocate for patients undergoing cardiac surgery. Responsibilities including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, evaluation, documentation and time management.

Position Overview

Shift Details

• 06:30-17:00
• Every other weekend required
• 40 hours per week

Compensation & Incentives

• Pay range: $44.24 – $54.24 per hour (based on experience)
• Shift differentials if applicable
• Eligible for up to $20,000 sign-on bonus
• Relocation assistance available up to $7,500
• Complete benefits package available

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in patient positioning and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout all phases of surgery
• Maintain strict sterile technique and enforce aseptic standards
• Handle and manage surgical specimens accurately
• Operate and monitor surgical equipment including surgical beds, electrocautery, suction devices, video systems, positioning devices, and point-of-care testing equipment
• Monitor surgical equipment to ensure proper function throughout procedures
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation in EPIC
• Perform surgical counts pre- and post-procedure to ensure patient safety
• Etc.

Requirements

• Active RN License to work in the state of Virginia
• Bachelors Nursing (BSN) required
• BLS (AHA)
• 2+ years recent CVOR RN experience
