Overview
The Housing Coordinator provides oversight of the Northwestern Community Services Board (NWCSB) housing department, including budget monitoring, support for grant applications and reporting, and supervision of assigned personnel. This position is responsible for client assessment and admission, service coordination, and clinical supervision as appropriate. The Housing Coordinator also ensures regulatory compliance, monitors service quality, and confirms that all required assessments and documentation are completed.
This position fosters cross-departmental collaboration and community partnerships to advance housing stability and trauma-informed care for individuals with behavioral health needs.
- Master’s degree in human services
- Virginia Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP) eligibility
- A mix of education and experience that shows the necessary skills and knowledge for a middle management role in a medium to large behavioral health organization
- Experience in a public behavioral health, private provider, or managed care organization or working in a community services board’s complex regulatory environment
- An eagerness to invest in one’s community through service
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License, good driving record, and the ability to provide own transportation.
- Virginia Licensed Mental Health Professional as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Clinical Psychologist preferred
- At least three years of supervisory experience
- May be exposed to allergenic environments from client’s homes, including dust, smoke, pet contamination, cleaning supplies, etc
- May be exposed to clients with infectious diseases.
- Must be able to drive for long periods of time to travel in and out of the catchment area as needed.
- Must be able to walk distances, climb and descend stairs, maneuver in and out of agency vehicles.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer; and
- Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 25 pounds at times
SALARY: Starting at $68,507
RETIREMENT: NWCSB participates in Virginia Retirement System.
