Senior Corporate Accountant

Job Summary

The Senior Corporate Accountant is responsible for assisting with month‑end/year‑end close, including account analysis and reconciliation, and producing accurate and timely financial reports, including regulatory filings. The role plans, develops, and coordinates complex professional financial analyses and reports, such as variance analysis and statistical reports, and serves as a general accounting liaison to various departments on complex projects— including system implementations, process designs and redesigns, and financial system training.

The position also provides regional accounting and financial support for joint ventures and the WV physician company (East Mountain Health Physicians).

• Assist with month‑end/year‑end close, account analysis, and reconciliation.
• Produce accurate and timely financial reports, including regulatory filings.
• Plan, develop, and coordinate complex financial analyses and reports.
• Act as a financial liaison to various departments on complex projects.
• Provide regional accounting and financial support for joint ventures and the WV physician company.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Treasury Management required.
• Master's degree in Business, Health Administration, Finance, or Accounting strongly preferred.
• 10 years in a senior technical supervisory/lead role required.
• 10 years in analytics, data mining, and reporting required.
• 10 years of experience in process automation using a programming language, scripting, embedded macros, data models, batch files, or third‑party software required.
• CPA, CTP, or other related professional certification strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of US GAAP, hospital and health system policies required.
• Tax and valuation experience working in complex organizational structures required.
• Regional and corporate project support experience required.
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with non‑financial audiences.
• Ability to lead assigned projects and see them through to completion.
• Excellent organizational skills required.
• Ability to develop executive summaries and present findings to senior management.
• Ability to lead staff required.
• Deadline‑oriented and able to multi‑task.
