Skilled TM Civils Operative – Octavius Infrastructure
We are recruiting for Traffic Management (TM) Civils Skilled Operatives to join Octavius. This is an exciting role encompassing both classic civil works and TM responsibilities.
As part of a leading civil engineering organisation delivering safe, sustainable and efficient transport solutions across the UK, you will be working on rural and urban roads to install, maintain and remove traffic management as required.
Responsibilities- Install, maintain and remove traffic management on rural and urban roads (low speed roads, Lantra 12D).
- Ensure pedestrian routes are safe, well maintained and accessible. Boundary fencing is kept secure and barriers are maintained.
- Ensure traffic management is maintained to the required standard to inform motorists clearly and keep pedestrians and our workforce safe.
- Work as part of a two‑person team, installing traffic management in advance of the site team and removing it after the end of their shift.
- Carry out maintenance checks and maintain traffic management as required throughout the shift.
- Work as part of the civils delivery team during the rest of the day, as directed by the site leadership team.

Qualificationsand Experience
- General knowledge of health, safety and wellbeing.
- General knowledge of low‑speed traffic management (NRSWA or Lantra 12D techniques, required standards and layouts).
- Significant experience of working in a construction environment, ideally on the highway, delivering groundworks schemes (kerbing, drainage, ducting, paving, surfacing etc), while interacting with members of the public.
- Full UK driving licence, for a minimum of two years.
- NRSWA Signing Lighting and Guarding O1 or S1 (or equivalent qualification / relevant experience).
- CSCS/CPCS Card for civils activities.
- Safety‑Critical Medical certificate.
