Position: Solicitor - Family 3 years' PQE

Family Solicitor – 3 Years PQE

Our client’s Family team is continuing to grow and is looking to recruit a Solicitor with around three years’ post‑qualification experience.

The Role

This is an opportunity to work closely with a highly regarded Partner in the Winchester office, handling a varied and high‑quality caseload that includes complex private law children matters and high‑value matrimonial finance work. The role requires a strong focus on client care, effective case management, and the ability to take a strategic view of matters alongside detailed legal analysis.

While the work can be challenging, the role offers exposure to excellent quality cases and the chance to work within a collaborative and well‑respected team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting the Partner on an established and demanding caseload
  • Managing your own time and workload, prioritising matters proactively
  • Keeping up to date with developments in family law
  • Communicating effectively with clients and colleagues
  • Meeting agreed time recording and financial targets
  • Assisting with marketing and business development initiatives
  • Maintaining high professional standards and compliance with regulatory and internal procedures
About You

The successful candidate will have specialist post‑qualification experience in family law, including:

  • Divorce and separation
  • Complex or high‑value financial remedy work
  • Cohabitation matters
  • Pre‑ and post‑nuptial agreements
  • Private law children cases

You will also have practical experience in:

  • Drafting legal documentation
  • Advocacy

In addition, you will demonstrate:

  • Strong technical ability and sound legal judgement
  • Exceptional client care and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to explain complex legal issues clearly and concisely
  • A creative, solutions‑focused approach
  • Excellent organisation and time‑management skills
  • Strategic thinking with a focus on outcomes
  • Confidence and commercial awareness, including an interest in business development
