Personal Tax Manager

We’re working with a well-established Chartered Tax Advisory firm in Winchester that is looking to hire an experienced Personal Tax Manager to join its growing private client team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a close-knit firm that works with a diverse client base including business owners, HNWIs, landlords and international clients
. The firm has particular strength in non-dom and expatriate tax
, including supporting US nationals living in the UK
, so experience in this area would be highly valued.

The role sits within the firm’s Personal Tax team and will primarily focus on self-assessment compliance
, client advisory work, and managing client relationships during the tax return cycle.

You will work closely with senior leadership on complex matters while also mentoring junior team members.

• Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients
• Overseeing and coordinating the Self Assessment tax return process
• Reviewing tax returns prepared by junior team members
• Liaising with clients to gather required information
• Handling client queries and providing tax advice
• Supporting the Tax Director on more complex tax matters
• Managing billing arrangements for your client portfolio
• Coaching and supporting junior staff members PT-Manager-Job-Spec

• ATT or CTA qualified (or working towards CTA)
• At least 3+ years’ experience in personal tax
• Experience working with expats / non-doms is highly beneficial
• Exposure to US taxpayers needing UK Self-Assessment returns would be particularly valuable
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Experience reviewing work and mentoring junior staff
• Competitive salary (£50k–£55k, with some flexibility for the right candidate)
• 20 days annual leave, increasing to 25 days with service
• Death in service
