• Deliver training to groups of trainees in Mechanical Engineering – both practical and theory based.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with trainees and colleagues.
• Support course documentation updates and provide feedback on student assessments.
• Apply best practices to improve training quality and effectiveness.
• Monitor learner progress and ensure training meets performance targets and standards.
• Collaborate with Learning & Development to personalise training and maintain professional development.

• Minimum Level 3 Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficient in the use of IT (hardware/software) within the workplace.
• Competent Mechanical hand skills.

• Previous experience working in Marine Engineering.
• Level 4 Teaching Qualification / DTC Defence Trainer Course or equivalent.
• Previous training experience in an engineering environment.

This role is offered on a term time basis working 45 weeks per year, with non‑working weeks taken 2 weeks at Christmas and Easter and 3 weeks in August. The salary will therefore be pro‑rated and calculated to include contractual annual leave entitlement and bank holidays.
