Year 2 Class Teacher

Location: Winchester

Start Date: January 2026- for the right candidate, this could be delayed until February

Contract: 5 days per week, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Pay: Paid to scale (£170 – £233 per day)

A smaller than average primary school in Gosport is seeking an experienced Year 2 teacher starting January 2026 (or February). This is a role with full class teacher responsibilities, initially until the end of the academic year but could be extended.

You will be responsible for planning, teaching, and assessing a Year 2 class, working closely with other teachers and SLT in order to collaborate in this small 1.5 form entry school. The role includes full teaching responsibilities and offers the opportunity to contribute to wider school life. This is a faith school with a Christian ethos. All faiths and denominations will be considered for this role.

• Qualified Primary Teacher with experience in Year 2
• Confident in managing classroom routines and expectations.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Skilled in adapting teaching to meet a range of pupil needs, including SEND
• Supportive of daily collective worship

• UK-recognised teaching qualification.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
• Compliance with DfE and Safer Recruitment standards.
