Role

Title:

Specialist, Apprenticeship Coach – Business Administration

The Role

In this role, you will deliver high-quality apprenticeship training programmes that develop learners’ knowledge, skills, and behaviours, enabling them to successfully complete their programme and progress in their careers. You’ll support apprentices throughout their entire journey — from initial assessment through to Gateway and End Point Assessment — providing professional, constructive feedback and coaching at every stage.

You’ll wake up motivated by helping learners succeed, seeing their confidence grow, and knowing your guidance directly impacts achievement and completion outcomes. In your first six months, your biggest impact will be establishing strong learner relationships, embedding effective coaching practices, and ensuring apprentices are progressing in line with their target achievement dates. What makes this role different is the opportunity to work in a dynamic, outcomes-focused environment where quality, compliance, and learner experience are equally valued.

What

You’ll Own

Success in this role means apprentices are engaged, progressing on plan, and achieving high-quality outcomes.

You will own:

  • The end-to-end delivery of apprenticeship programmes, including initial assessment, coaching, assessment, progress reviews, and Gateway preparation
  • Coaching and mentoring apprentices to develop workplace knowledge, skills, and behaviours aligned to their Apprenticeship Standard
  • Reviewing learners work place evidence and providing timely constructive feedback both written and verbally
  • Conducting assessments and generating evidence to support successful End Point Assessment outcomes
  • Maintaining accurate learner records across MIS systems, e‑portfolios, and online learning platforms, ensuring full compliance with Ofsted, ESFA, and awarding body requirements

You’ll also contribute to:

  • Continuous improvement of programme resources
  • Quality assurance activities, including standardisation and internal quality assurance where qualified
  • Positive relationships with apprentices, employers, military or civilian line managers, and internal stakeholders
About You

You are a motivated, adaptable professional who thrives in a learner-focused, target-driven environment.

You bring:

  • Relevant assessor, teaching, or training qualifications
  • At least 2 years’ experience delivering apprenticeship training within the business skills sector
  • Industry experience within a business administration role, with delivery experience at Level 3 Management and/or Business Administration
  • Strong coaching and mentoring capability, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

You’re someone who:

  • Manages your own caseload effectively with minimal supervision
  • Uses technology confidently to support efficient and engaging learning delivery
  • Demonstrates consistently good or outstanding performance through observations and standardisation
  • Produces high-quality written feedback and clear, measurable development objectives
Desirable
  • A relevant Business Administration qualification
  • Verifier qualification
  • Experience supporting Ofsted inspections
  • Understanding of ESFA funding requirements
What You’ll Get

This role offers the opportunity to build a rewarding career supporting learner success while contributing to Pearson TQ’s wider mission.

You’ll benefit from:

  • The chance to make a measurable impact on learner achievement and progression
  • Ongoing professional development, including CPD and standardisation activities
  • Exposure to a variety of learners, employers, and delivery environments
  • A role that connects directly to Pearson’s commitment to shaping the future of learning

Flexibility is required, including travel to learner sites and occasional overnight stays, as needed.
